Cisco is the world leader in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate. Following a successful 2009 UK roll-out of i-benefit@Cisco, a personalised benefits portal, Cisco wanted to replicate the same experience for their EMEAR employees, initially focusing on Spain, Germany, Norway and Israel.
With offices in 62 countries across EMEAR, partnerships with 70+ benefits vendors, 12 benefit brokers and 30+ long-term savings plans, Cisco operated within a complex benefits landscape with mostly paper-based processes and a lack of visibility on the cost of benefits.
By implementing Darwin™, Cisco created a harmonised, holistic reward solution locally tailored for each market. For the 70+ vendors, all benefits administration is now delivered through just one interaction, reducing HR administration and queries, as well as enabling visibility on benefits’ cost.
This innovative solution has achieved very high employee engagement and participation, with login rates reaching 88%. As a result of Cisco’s continuous employee communications, engagement keeps increasing each year.
With the majority of personnel now covered, the blueprint has been established for continued implementation in the rest of EMEAR. Having the ability to view total costs also enables Cisco to more effectively challenge their local brokers on the costs of benefit premiums.
We were delighted to win the ‘Best International Benefits’ award in recognition of how we have delivered an innovative and engaging benefits strategy that has increased both employee engagement and participation and reduced our administration.”
