Junior Operations Specialist

Our Mission & Vision

The Operations Specialist sits within the Provider & Automation Department (PAT) in Darwin and is responsible with capturing, translating provider product specifications into Darwin documentation. They also set out best practice & become subject matter experts in their respective markets.

They are expected to deliver high quality work and learn the markets they work in, and working closely with the Product and Professional Services teams.


The Role & Your Mission

  1. Technical
  • Initiate and manage the relationship with Global Benefit Providers for standard products and reports, processes, documentation and troubleshooting
  • Capture the product details of Provider benefits to support streamlined implementation and service of Darwin
  • Translates provider benefit requirements into Darwin technical specifications, capturing standard report formats and working closely with other Darwin team where and as required
  1. Quality and reporting
  • Maintain ‘Global Provider and Benefits Databases’, that captures a diverse Global market and its ability to work with Darwin
  • Maintain an updated status for current tasks, using the available tools (JIRA / Confluence)
  • Perform other job-related duties and activities as requested
  • Meet team SLAs
  • Deal with workload peaks without compromising standards
  • Successful delivery of tasks and activities as prescribed by functional peers.
  1. Stakeholder management and Project Management
  • End-end delivery of small sized projects (example: owner for meeting SLAs for 1-5 product specifications)
  • Initiate and manage the relationship with Global Benefit providers for standard products and reports, processes, documentation and troubleshooting
  • Interacting with internal and external partners (as needed) to drive efficiency, satisfaction and profitability
  1. Development: self and others
  • Attend all mandatory trainings
  • Have a proactive approach towards all growth opportunities, whether through L&D opportunities or understanding the business and what each team does


Your Experience & Values

  1. Technical
  • Experience with technical documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and solid general IT knowledge
  • Experience with reporting and interfacing is a plus
  • Experience of benefits industry is a plus
  1. Communication
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Knowledge of flexible benefits terms
  • Experienced at dealing with users at all levels, singly and in groups
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
