Junior Interface Specialist

Our Mission & Vision

The Junior Interfacing Specialist role sits in Interface Team, within the Technology Department. You will set up interfaces between Darwin and 3rd party systems across the whole range of projects undertaken by Darwin. You will be maintaining existing connections (SSO and SFTP).

This includes certificates renewal, system upgrades, testing changes and troubleshooting. Also, you will perform testing of configured functionality and support UAT activity for Clients.


The Role & Your Mission

  • Respond to ad hoc exercises and issues, solving basic tasks that are assigned via Jira Kanban Board

  • Confluence knowledge (page creation, documentation, file upload)

  • Understand the difference between certificates (public/private, X509), PGP keys (private/public), SSH keys (private/public)

  • Acknowledge data security standards

  • Deal with workload peaks without compromising standards

  • Understands APIs or two-way data connectivity

  • Attend Client calls with support from more experienced Interface members and coordinate technical discussions

  • Maintain an updated status of your current tasks, using the available tools (Jira/Confluence)

  • Create and maintain “How to” pages (on our Shared Knowledge internal platform - Confluence) about specific interface topics

  • Able to read an XML schema

  • Familiar with project delivery methodologies (Agile)

  • Familiar with directory structure, authentication and user provisioning services including but not limited to: Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, OKTA, LDAP, ADFS

  • General IT knowledge: Microsoft servers, Single Sign-On protocols & solutions, File Transfer/Data Transfer protocols, APIs

  • Experience in programming languages: JavaScript and Groovy (it’s a plus)

  • Boomi knowledge (it’s a plus)
